My problem we went in March spring break! But all the same I think people should be aware of the Condo's spot within the complex makes a difference. Let's start with the negatives: the noise from the pool area from early in the morning till about noon, and again at 3 till the pool closed was disturbing, you could not sit on your lanai or even inside without hearing the loud noise from the pool. Never mind sitting at the pool, if your the kind of person who can listen to kids high pitched screams, balls thrown over your head while your swimming, adults and children eating pool side, drinking in the pool... Kinda felt like I was at my sons pool parties. Shame on the parents ,there's rules plastered every where. The mater bed was very uncomfortable for myself and my husband. And it feels like your sleeping in the parking lot (I guess we're sensitive to noise) The unit just didn't have the nice details, cleaning was so-so but with so many people going through the unit spotless would have been nice. No garbage bags were left and there was no tinfoil, and no beach towel, and the only spices were if your pickling something. The place really needs a nice comfy chair, there's only the pullout couch to sit on. Positives: if I was able to grab the chaise at the pool just in front of condo unit I could use the free wifi. The area is great, lots to do, and this unit would be great with kids. The shores resort staff-are fantastic
Morag K.This condo was just as describe, a great place to stay, the pool was so handy being that close to the condo. Having our Lanai just within steps of the pool was awesome, it was so nice to sit outside on the Lani to enjoy our morning coffee and watch the sunrise, and it was a short walk to the ocean and the oceanside pool. There was a mixture of families with children and seniors, there was a lot of quiet time by the pool where you could read or whatever.
The bathroom floor was not cleaned very well and the toilet seat was broken. When I opened up the hide-a-bed it was questionable as to whether the sheets had been changed from the last guests. Other than that it was a very nice place in a perfect location. We arrived at the airport at 10:30 in the evening and the condo was easy to find with the directions given.
The biggest drawback was the lack of dining at the resort, they did have the gazebo close by near the ocean but it was only open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and had very limited seating capacity. There was also a restaurant at the front entrance but was only open from 5 p.m to 11 p.m., and it was barb-b-que only with very limited choices. I was expecting a nice sit-down restaurant where you could go in the morning for a coffee, or a salad at noon or even just for a relaxing drink. These things were all lacing at Napili Shores.
JJ (Camrose AB, Canada)This was our first time to Maui and feel fortunate to have found such a lovely setting. As we traveled up and down the West coast, we kept reaffirming that we had found the best spot. It was small and low key with beautiful lush grounds. No bell hops, free parking at the back door, immaculate apartment, lovely lanai, walk to the beach and coffee shop and happy hour. Whale watching and sunsets were fabulous. We enjoyed meeting loyal tenants in the hot tub and at the barbeque each evening. Anyone whose tried it, comes back again and again.
AnonyousThis condo has it all. Location, location with the pool just steps away and the beach with plenty of turtles, boogie boarding, fish just down the path. Plenty to do with Kapalua, the bus to Kaanapali/Lahaina and an excellent farmers market just minutes away. Quiet enough for young families with infants or small children too. Lots of little extras like games, music, and fully stocked kitchen to make your stay as much like home as possible.
Maggie sanderson(Redmond, WA)The Napili Shores is like Old Hawaii very relaxing. We enjoyed our visit and will stay here in the future. If you like adventure, your in a great place. Turtles, Snorkeling, Golf and Hiking are within 5 miles. The adjoining beach is easy to get to and a safe swimming area for children. I highly recommend you walk to the Gazebo restaurant for breakfast.
